A Seasonal Colour Edit from Hush

I haven’t really been into Hush for the last couple of seasons, but this new collection has me looking twice. There’s a really nice mix of colours right now- soft pastels, earthy tones, some brighter pops- which makes it a great place to start if you’re wanting to add a bit more colour to your wardrobe without it feeling overwhelming.

Rather than pulling pieces from lots of different shops, I thought it would be interesting to create a little seasonal colour edit from one store. I picked out a few pieces and built one outfit for each colour season to show how much variety there is within the collection.

The beauty of this approach is that you don’t need to completely reinvent your wardrobe- just a few well-chosen pieces in colours that work together can go a long way.

For Every Season

Spring

Soft greens, denim and a hint of leopard make this an easy way to bring colour into everyday outfits. It feels fresh but still relaxed- very much that effortless spring layering we all reach for when the weather can’t quite make up its mind.

Autumn

As the seasons shift, you can still carry those richer tones through your outfit. Peat moss, burgundy and chocolate brown create that warm, earthy palette that works so well layered together, especially with relaxed shapes like the barrel leg trousers.

Winter

Navy and red is one of those colour combinations that never really dates. The deep navy pieces keep the outfit grounded, while the red scarf and shoes add a pop of colour that lifts the whole look.

Summer

Lilac is such a lovely summer colour- soft, flattering and surprisingly easy to wear. Paired with pale neutrals and simple silver jewellery, it keeps everything feeling light and breezy without trying too hard.

What I liked about pulling this little edit together is seeing how much range there is within one collection. Each outfit feels different, but they still sit comfortably within the relaxed, easy style that Hush does so well.

And sometimes that’s all it takes- one piece, one colour, one new combination- to bring a bit of life back into what you already own.

Even just a few well-chosen pieces like this can carry you through the year and give your wardrobe a subtle refresh. Sometimes it’s not about buying everything- just the right colour, in the right style, at the right time.
