5 Essential Products to Keep Your Wardrobe Organised

When it comes to wardrobe organisation, having the right products can make a world of difference. A well-organised wardrobe not only improves functionality but also enhances the aesthetic appeal, making it a delightful place to start your day. In this blog post, I will share the five essential products that I highly recommend to my clients during wardrobe consultations. These products have proven to be effective in keeping wardrobes tidy, maximising space, and ensuring easy access to your favourite garments.

Here are the my favourite organisers that I recommend to my client’s:

How do you organise your clothes storage?

  1. Velvet Coat Hangers

When it comes to hanging tops, shirts, light knits, dresses, jackets, and trousers, velvet coat hangers are an absolute game-changer. Unlike wooden hangers, the fabric on these hangers prevents clothes from slipping off, ensuring that your garments stay securely in place. Additionally, velvet hangers take up less space, allowing you to fit more items in your wardrobe. You can find a variety of velvet coat hangers in a number of places places including instore at TK Maxx, Wilkos, Argos and online at Amazon.

  2. Skirt Hangers

For skirts, having the right hangers is crucial to maintain their shape and prevent creasing. Skirt hangers with waistband clips are perfect for this purpose. They securely hold your skirts, allowing the fabric to hang nicely without any unsightly wrinkles. Opt for flocked skirt hangers as they provide additional grip. I like these flocked ones, because you can use them in different ways.

  3. Shoe Boxes

Shoe boxes offer an excellent solution by protecting your footwear and keeping them neatly arranged, whilst ensuring any unpleasant odours are contained! Transparent shoe boxes are great as they allow you to easily identify the pair you're looking for. I got some from B&M many years ago, unfortunately, they no longer seem to do them but I have found the same type of shoe boxes and boot boxes.

  4. Vacuum Sealed Bags

To save space and protect seasonal clothing items, vacuum-sealed bags are ideal. These bags compress your clothes, removing excess air and reducing their volume significantly. This not only frees up space in your wardrobe but also keeps your garments safe from dust, moisture, and insects. Among the various options available, I’ve found the most durable to either be Box Legend from Amazon or Pack Mate from Lakeland.

  5. Folding Board

Folding clothes neatly can be a challenge for many. If you struggle with folding and storing your garments efficiently, a folding board can be your savior. The Brabantia Folding Board is a fantastic tool that helps you achieve uniform folds, making your clothes stackable and easily visible.
