A Holly Willoughby Inspired Back to Work Capsule Wardrobe

Jane wanted my help after her impending return to the office after working from home for the last 18 months. Jayne had some existing workwear, but it didn’t fit well after she had put on a couple of lockdown pounds and she never really loved what she had, it was just pieces that she had brought off the cuff without much thought. A lot of it had been picked up from the supermarket whilst she had been food shopping. Jane was now ready to update her workwear so that she had outfits that she felt nice in when she returned to the office.

Jane’s Requirements

Jane works in an office with a casual business dress code, athough some of her colleagues wore smart jeans and trainers, Jane did not feel this was appropriate and preferred to dress up more, preferring the idea of skirt or trousers with nice blouses and tops. Jyne really liked Holly Willoughby’s style. As we went through Jane’s wardrobe, she had lots of pops of colour in her casual wardrobe, having a particular penchant for mustard, but hadn’t considered incorporting this into her workwear which was predominantly black, grey and navy. Jane didn’t have the budget to invest in an extensive wardrobe immediately, but wanted enough outfits and variety for the three days that she worked. Jane had a couple of pieces that she wanted to utilise from her existing pieces which fitted ok, but could then be replaced as funds allowed.

Inspiration

Jane wasn't really sure how she wanted to look, other than that she liked most of Holly’s outfits on This Morning. So I created a moodboard of images for Jane with photos of some of Holly’s outfits aswell as others which closely reflected the colours and type of outfits that Jane aspired to and could easily recreate from the pieces that she had and pieces to add.
